these questions and move you forward to
the installation stage of any sod project in
Northern and Central Califronia, including
Sacramento County, Citrus Heights, Elk Grove, Rancho Cordova, and the City of Sacramento.
Step 1- How Much Sod Will You Need?
To properly calculate the amount of sod you will need, please follow the steps listed below:
| • |
First, measure your site. Measure the furthest distances, of both the length and width, of your project area. |
| • |
Enter the length and width in feet of your project size. Each amount has it’s own designated box. |
| • |
Click on the "calculate" button. Industry standards recommend when ordering sod, you should order 10% more sod than the project area equals to allow for curves and waste. |
Now you have the amount of sod you should order for your project.
NOTE: The total amount must end in a zero. For example, if your total is 1253, then round up to 1260.
